It feels so good to be going back home. I have been away in New York for almost 10 months and I am so excited to see my LeBron James billboard, the murky Lake Erie, and the crazy Brown’s stadium again. I can’t wait to drive through downtown Cleveland where people cut me off and flip me the bird. The bumper to bumper traffic as I make my way to Giant Eagle and stand in a 15 minute line because the entire city seems to follow me everywhere I go.
I can’t wait to go to that very busy Starbucks at Crocker Park where I stand in a 10 minute line just to get my over priced Caramel Macchiato. I also can’t wait to go to my favorite Target in North Olmsted where no matter of the time or day it seems like there are always 500 cars in the parking lot.
I can’t wait to go to Home Goods in Avon where I am always bumping my cart into 50 items because that store crams 100 items into every isle! I can’t wait to go to one of my favorite movie theaters in Ridge Park square with the reclining chairs and loud talking people who laugh loudly throughout the entire movie.
I also can’t wait to visit the Cleveland Metro parks. Nothing better than taking a stroll in the early afternoon as cars whiz by, honk their horns and proceed to yell sexual, ignorant remarks such as “WHOOO HOOO, and YEAH BABY!……
I also can’t wait to visit the Cleveland zoo where I can feed a giraffe, view some koala bears up in the trees, and laugh at the monkeys throwing poop on each other.
I can’t wait to be able to finish watching the NBA playoffs at home with snacks and company instead of on the computer by myself.
I also can’t wait to see my family, friends, and pets! Feels so good to be going home soon!
